G4 Engineering and Project Services (Pty) Ltd (G4eps) has successfully secured the LSTK contract for the detail design and engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning of a gravity concentration circuit for Barberton Mines in Mpumalanga South Africa.

The process comprise of the mill discharge product reporting to a gravity scalping screen, ensuring the required feed size is fed to a gravity concentrator. The screen over-size will report back to the mill with the under size reporting to the gravity concentrator. The gravity concentrator will operate on a batch process, and will discharge concentrate to a concentrate storage hopper at pre-set intervals.

Concentrator tailings will report to the concentrator tailings sump before being pumped to the existing flash float cell with a newly installed running/standby pumping configuration. Then concentrate from the concentrate storage hopper will pass over a trash removal screen with the undersize reporting to the table receiving bin.

The product from the table receiving bin will be conveyed via a pipe and valve system to a gravity table from which concentrate will report to a lockable concentrate box which will be delivered to the gold room.
